Honey face mask: Honey has anti-bacterial properties and it is a super speedy way to make your skin soft and glowing. Take a spoon of raw honey, warm it with your fingertips before spreading it on your face. Rinse gently with warm water after ten minutes. Do this once every week and always sport a glowing skin.
Banana and egg hair paste: Mash a banana and mix an egg to get a thick paste. Apply this to your hair and leave for about 30 minutes. Wash the usual way. The shine in your hair will make you wonder why you spent an arm and a leg on conditioners every month!
Olive oil for nails: Warm olive oil and soak your nails in it for about 15 minutes. The oil moisturizes the nails and cuticles and the heat speeds up the absorption. Any damage to the nails is repaired and you will have healthy looking soft nails.
Elbow and knee exfoliation: Use the rinds of squeezed out lemons to rub your elbows and knees. If you want extra softness and clear skin, you can cut an orange and use it as a scrub. The citrus juice exfoliates the rough skin on these spots, making them soft and clear.
Homemade body scrub: Mix one volume of sea salt to two volumes of olive oil. Use this mixture as a body scrub. It rids your skin of dead cells. No store-bought body scrub will be this effective in making your skin as soft and glowing.
A natural blackhead remover: Drop honey on a lemon wedge. Rub the wedge on your face for a minute, concentrating on the blackheads. Leave for about five minutes and rinse with cold water. Do this preferably in the nights when you do not have to go out in the sun as the citrus can make your skin photosensitive. You will have no blackheads left once you repeat this exercise for a few weeks.
